Rove President and CEO Named Next Generation Executive of the Year

April 9, 2009 - OTTAWA - Rove Inc., developer of system administration software that provides mobile management of IT systems and infrastructure, announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Rob Woodbridge, was selected as Next Generation Executive of the Year by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI).

The Next Generation Executive of the Year award was presented during the 14th Annual OCRI Awards Gala that took place on Wednesday, April 8, at the Westin Hotel in Ottawa. Five hundred delegates from the business, education and government sectors attended the event, which recognizes the achievements of local technology firms, research organizations and the academic community. In addition to Mr. Woodbridge’s nomination, Rove’s flagship product, Mobile Admin, was a finalist in the Product of the Year category.

Mr. Woodbridge was honoured for his work in rebranding the company, streamlining the product line, and increasing staff from eight to 37 within the period of just one year. Relying on an impressive background that spans 15 years of professional experience, Mr. Woodbridge specializes in using his in-depth knowledge of technical, business and marketing strategies in his executive role. Since joining Rove in 2007, Mr. Woodbridge has provided a focused, strategic vision for the company that served to increase Rove’s growth and profitability.

“Although it has my name on it, this award is really a tribute to the entire company,” Woodbridge said. “We have an amazing team here at Rove. Their hard work and effort is a testament to how much we’ve accomplished and how far we’ve come in such a short time.”

Winners were selected by a committee from the Society of Collaborative Opportunities and Advancement of Professionals (SCOAP).
