Intermediate Software Developer (based in Ottawa, Canada)

Rove is the world’s leading provider of mobile IT management solutions and we are expanding our team of software professionals. We are looking for candidates to be responsible for developing client applications on BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Android and iPhone devices. If you have strong skills in Java, Objective C or C# as well as a strong appreciation for networking protocols, this position may be of interest to you.

As an Intermediate Software Developer, you will have ownership of product components, and will be responsible for all feature implementation, bug fixes and core maintenance for those components. You will solve difficult technical challenges as part of a talented team of cross-functional developers. You will also act as a resource for planning and strategic decisions.

Education:

• A university degree or equivalent Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Engineering.

Experience:

• 3 – 5 years of development experience.

Skill Requirements:

• Advanced knowledge of Java, Objective C or C#;
• Comfortable working with network protocols;
• Functional knowledge of mobile smartphones and tablets;
• Can work successfully within a skilled team environment;
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English; and
• Able to meet tight deadlines.
